There is still a place in education for a school such as St Stephens. Whilst my journey with this Kaupapa is around the wish to see our school arise from the ashes, my main motivation is about preparation of our young men to have the skills and the confidence to operate in the global world confident in their own Maoriness.

Here to help disadvantaged Maori youth to do better, to reach their potential, to become positive role models and worthy contributors to their whanau and their community. A revitalised Tipene, set up to meet contemporary needs and expectations, would certainly help with achieving these objectives.
